Greetings Church Family, As Shila and I reflect on these past two years, our hearts are full. Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 1:2 echo our own prayers: “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.” Whether seen or unseen, we want to thank each of you who, during our time in Alpharetta, have lifted up Christ (John 12:32), been faithful to your posts, given sacrificially, avoided gossip and divisions, embodied the ministry of reconciliation, and fully embraced our vision to be a team-first (body-of-Christ-first), outward-facing church. Because of your love and commitment, our church is positioned to mobilize our flock and serve our community in meaningful, life-giving ways. There is only One Alpharetta, and your faithfulness strengthens our mission and reflects the heart of Jesus to all who encounter us. It is a privilege and a blessing to serve alongside our family here in Alpharetta. Happy Thanksgiving! Sincerely, Pastor Michael and Shila |

Church families and friends gathered to enjoy roasting hot dogs and s’mores over the fire, and a variety of games, including Cornhole, lawn darts, and Hacky Sack. The donut-eating contest was a blast, with Jayden Williams and Nicole Hylton taking home the wins. Caleb Bunch guessed correctly for the “Guess How Many” game that there was a total of 252 Reece’s Pieces in the jar. And one lucky guest won a raffle basket filled with movie night goodies. The funds from the raffle will support the social committee.
Children had a blast in the pumpkin painting station, while guests captured memories at the festive photo booth. It was a joyful evening that reminded everyone of the warmth of community and the blessings of fellowship. |

| | | The Family Walk, in conjunction with Men’s Ministries, was a wonderful opportunity to fellowship and take in the beauty that God has blessed us with. As we hiked up the trails at the Swanee Preserve, we were reminded of the importance of being in nature and feeling His peace on the day of Sabbath rest. |

In late October, we arrived at Christwalk in the Valley retreat nestled in the north Georgia mountains for a weekend of reflection, spiritual renewal, and collegiality. The theme “My Cup Runneth Over” resonated deeply with us.
We were blessed by Pastor Stephanie Whitley-Ferguson, who shared a powerful message titled “The Cup Jesus Drank.” Akeela Dossa, NP, inspired us with her heartfelt talk on mental health, centered on the theme of pouring without running dry. Mandy Phillips, a devoted Bible study leader, moved us deeply as she shared her personal testimony—showing how life’s obstacles can be transformed into opportunities to serve God, stand on His promises, and embrace our true identity in Christ.
Elder Janice Walker and her team did a fabulous job! We enjoyed inspiring programs, prayer walks, presentations, and lakeside views amidst private prayers or group sessions with testimonies punctuated by transparency and vulnerability. Plus, great food! We departed with spiritual and emotional cups refilled and overflowing, uplifted by the weekend’s experiences. Please plan for the next retreat. You will be blessed and truly inspired. |

On October 26th, we kicked off our first Fellowship Walk of the season. It was such a great morning, full of laughter, friendly conversation, and time to just enjoy being together. Walking through Rock Mill Park (Greenway), we took in the fresh air, sunshine, and beautiful surroundings—reminding us of God’s wonderful creation. Our second walk on November 9th at Fowler Park (Greenway) was just as enjoyable. It gave us another chance to slow down, chat with friends, and appreciate the simple joys of being outdoors together. We would love to have you join us for our next walk on December 7th. Bring a friend, neighbor, or coworker and enjoy the fun of walking, talking, and taking in the beauty of God’s world with others. |

Thankful Tree: Start a tradition of creating a thankful tree where each family member adds a leaf to the tree throughout November, with each leaf representing something they are grateful for.
Give Thanks Game: Play a version of "Hot Potato" where the object being passed represents something God has provided. As the object is passed, each person shares one thing they are thankful for.
Leaf Piling: Go outside to gather leaves and have each person share something they are thankful for as they collect or drop leaves into a pile.
Leaf-blowing Competition: Using plastic straws, “race” foam or paper leaves across a surface to see who can power their leaves through the quickest.
Thankful Cards: Make cards to hand out to friends and family, telling them how you are thankful for them. You can add a Bible verse in the card too. A few of these passages include Colossians 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Psalm 100, Psalm 107, and Philippians 4:6-7. |

Q: In Psalm 100, what are believers told to enter His courts with? A: Psalm 100 |
| Q: What did the people of Zion rejoice in during the autumn rains? A: Joel 2:23 |
| Q: Jesus says the harvest is plentiful, but what do the laborers need to pray for?
A: Matthew 9:35-38 |
| | Q: What are some favorite things of Christians in the fall season? A: Pumpkin spice and everything Christ! |
Q: What do a Jack O’Lantern and a Christian have in common? A: They both have a light inside. Listen to what the Bible says: “You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 People don’t put a light in a Jack O Lantern to hide it. In the same way, the light of Jesus shouldn’t be hidden in the lives of those who follow Him. Many live in “darkness” and we all need the light of Christ. |
Q: What happens when winter arrives early? A: Autumn leaves |
Q: Why do trees hate tests in the fall? A: Because they get stumped by the questions. |
