| Greetings Church Family,
In more than a decade of ministry, I have never pastored a church that is too connected. In all reality, most of us are too busy to take on one more thing; but at what cost? I think this is why the author of Hebrews reminds us to “…think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24, 25 NLT).
So, what’s something you’re already doing that you could invite others into? Maybe you enjoy morning devotionals, serving in the community, or having conversations over coffee. Barna Research shows that Grow Groups are key to spiritual growth and help visitors feel more connected to the church (Barna 09 Implications & Recommendations). You don’t need to start something new—just invite others to join what you’re already doing!
This April and May, I encourage you to consider leading or joining a Grow Group. Whether it’s a Bible study, a walking group, or a service project, God can use your everyday rhythms to build relationships and deepen faith. Let’s be intentional about growing together. Please send me an email if you would like to lead or join a Grow Group.
Blessings, Pastor Michael contact@alpharettasda.com |

| | | Agape Feast
Communion Sabbath, on February 15, was a special occasion that started with an Agape Feast breakfast. While partaking in bagels, fresh salmon, and fruit, Pastor Michael spoke about another fish breakfast prepared by Jesus for his disciples after His resurrection (John 21). Just as Jesus told His disciples to “Care for my sheep,” we are reminded to extend His love to others in our community. The Agape Feast concluded with the sharing of unleavened bread and grape juice, followed by the foot-washing ceremony. This meaningful event emphasized the call to serve others the same way that Christ did. |

| Prayer Lunch & Learn
On February 22, Emil Dumitrescu spoke about the importance of fasting for our prayer life and our relationship with God. We discussed the people who fasted in the Bible and the reasons behind their fasts. Moses fasted for 40 days and nights on Mount Sinai while speaking with God. Hannah fasted, and her faith was strengthened, bringing her peace. Jonah told the people of Nineveh that God was upset with them. They fasted, repented, and built a relationship with God. Esther fasted with others, fostering fellowship and strength. Paul fasted and repented after Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus. All of these fasts helped build relationships with God. Fasting strengthens our relationship with God. Emil reminded us, "The ultimate goal of fasting is to take us to the next level spiritually." |

| Valentine’s Banquet
With love in the air and hearts coming together in unity, the vision of a banquet was brought to life. Dressed in our finest attire, we came together for the first ASDAC church banquet. On Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., we began the evening with a reception in the foyer, where warm fellowship, delectable appetizers, serene music, and a beautiful atmosphere greeted us. We then moved into the dining hall, where a stunning, romantic setting awaited, accompanied by a delicious dinner and sweet desserts. The night unfolded with games that brought laughter, tributes that touched hearts, and an atmosphere rich in love, love not only shared between each other but most profoundly, the love of God shining through every heart present. This event, born from a seed of love, blossomed through the devoted efforts of both the Men’s and Women’s Ministries. God’s presence was undeniably felt, and the love that filled our hearts radiated throughout the evening. It was a night we will never forget. As we reflect on God’s love, remember this verse: 1 Corinthians 16:14, “Let all that you do be done in love.” |

| Children Sabbath
We believe that children are an integral part of the church community, both in the present and for future generations. We organized a Children’s Sabbath on February 8th to demonstrate our commitment to this belief. During this event, children participated in church services by offering greetings, telling the children’s story, reading scripture, serving as ushers, and leading prayer. Teens led Alpha Praise. A meaningful play, themed “Jesus is Love,” was presented by the children. We aim to nurture their spiritual growth and deepen their connection with God through Children’s Sabbath. We urge parents to support and motivate their children to partake in future Children’s Sabbaths. |

| | ASDAC Bible Quest
It was the third season of ASDAC Bible Quest on March 8th. It was a fun and lively competition to test the Biblical knowledge of children aged 5 to 10. The event was exciting, featuring music, questions, Bible character emojis, and a charade that kept everyone engaged and entertained. There were four teams, each consisting of three children. Every participant received a special gift to celebrate their efforts. We’re eagerly looking forward to the next Bible Quest. |

| | FINANCIAL SNAPSHOT - MARCH |
| Let me begin with a simple thank you! As a result of your sacrificial giving, our church has received $101,044 so far this year. $56,545 has gone to the conference to provide a local pastor and support the mission of the world church. $44,499 has gone to support local ministries at the Alpharetta Seventh-day Adventist Church. How can you help? I’m glad you asked. Our monthly church budget is $18,025 thus, our year-to-date budget has been $36,050. Giving to the church budget year to date is $22,476, creating a shortfall of $13,574. |
|
| While you may commonly hear that giving to the local church budget helps keep the heat, air, and lights on, it is so much more than that. By giving to the local church budget, you are also supporting ministries such as Pathfinders, prayer ministries, evangelism, and so much more. So, please, prayerfully consider including the local church budget in your giving. |
